Baby Food, Sunburns and the Crib

Damien has lots of new favorite baby foods. Bananas lead the pack, but he also loves sweet potatoes (toes toes toes) and, surprisingly, peas. We tried feeding him some baby chicken and chicken broth (otherwise known as chicken goo) and he literally gagged on it and deliberately spit it out. Apparently he's not big on that one.

Kyle's Arabic class had a picnic last Friday. We brought the camera, but forgot to use it. It was windy and around 65 degrees, so we didn't realize the sun danger, and thus ended up with major sunburns after several hours unprotected in the sun. We're peeling now. All of us. I felt ridiculously guilty every time I looked at my sunburned child, so we went and bought a ton of sunscreen that night. However, we have yet to go outside this week.

Damien is 5.5 months old, and he won't sleep on his back in his crib. He still sleeps in his car seat, but he is quickly outgrowing it so we have to break him of it. I think we managed about two and a half hours in the crib last night. Mommy is very, very sleepy.

That was our random sampler of news. More momentarily.
